maine, at the very tip top of the country’s east coast, is a wonderland of lobster and lighthouses and blueberries and pine trees and the freshest sea air you’ll find in new england.

traveling home to west virginia is truly like breathing in fresh air. and i missed these mountains!

and i love vermont but it’s the season of the sticks!!!!

when it comes to college towns, auburn is virtually unmatched. this east alabama town runs wild with school pride, and knows everything from football to food.

tucked outside of the sprawling concrete jungle that is pittsburgh lies a transformative oasis in the woods known as the laurel highlands.

college football is one of my favorite things about fall. growing up, i’d watch games every saturday with my dad, eagerly learning the ins & outs of the sport.

a community of just over 3,000 permanent residents, tybee island is a small beach town located about 17 miles outside of savannah. its relaxed environment is a stark contrast to neighboring locales like hilton head, savannah and charleston, though you can expect to find much of the same characteristics in terms of history, cuisine and entertainment.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again, pittsburgh is one of my favorite places in the world.

i’m convinced the phrase “take the scenic route” was created after driving through shenandoah national park’s skyline drive.

driving down route 66 on a hot summer afternoon, staring out the window of a rented lincoln navigator is how i spent two weeks in the summer of 2016.

west virginia got ultimate bragging rights in 2021 with america’s newest national park!

autumn is my favorite time of year. the leaves change, the temperatures drop and i’m filled with a sense of nostalgia.
